"# Roc'NRope"
port of Roc'NRope for Amiga AGA or ECS. Runs on vanilla A1200 at 50 fps and on A500 1MB at 25 fps (slightly slow). With faster cpu, ECS version is much more playable.
AGA & ECS versions visuals are identical, and identical to the arcade.
Requires a 2-button joystick, or the keyboard

Instructions:
fire/5: insert coin
up/down/1/2: start game
joystick/arrows: move
red/ctrl: shoot grappling hook
blue/alt: dazze
Cheat keys:
F1: skip level
F3: add 10000 points
v1.01 just fixes demo (slightly), adds transition effects that were missing, and fixes level complete music termination. Gameplay isn't affected.

Very interesting arcade game (and, once again, a successful conversion). Easy to learn in terms of controls, but difficult to master. Our German-language review can be found at 04:57:43. English subtitles are also available. 🙂
With some training, I could complete one loop. I had never played this game before converting it :) You seem to have missed a lot of features: egg, second button for flashlight for instance.

thanks. TBH I never played it until last month. In easy mode I can reach level 4 quite easily now and I could beat it twice.
What a wonderful memory. As a child, I fed dozens of coins into the machine. Having such a great game on my Amiga now is a dream come true. Many thanks for the port.

Beats the crumbs out of the ColecoVision version, for obvious reasons. I put this on my emulation setup, and managed to reach the waterfall before getting washed out (literally).
You've done well, sir. Please continue to turn the Amiga computer into the arcade at home it should have been from jump.
this is a tough game all right! needs a lot of training. And yes I will continue converting. Not planning to stop yet.

I think this might conceivably be your most accurate work yet. Feels identical to the original (which I only recently discovered was the blueprint for Bionic Commando). Tweaked the flyer into some placeholdery box art.

all files are in data and you think I did something wrong. .slave?
it has nothing to do with the archive. But the .info file points to Rocnrope.slave it should be changed to either _aga.slave or _ocs.slave
